Dr. Miguel A. Medina

Board of Advisors

Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Dr. Medina is an experienced, board-certified, Harvard University and Johns Hopkins trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He began his surgical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Medina has always been interested in spearheading new innovations in plastic surgery. He is extensively published in peer reviewed literature, book chapters, and invited speakerships, both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Medina has always been very passionate about facial and nasal surgery along with breast surgery. After completing the Harvard training program, he went on to further specialize in craniofacial surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

After starting his career at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Medina was then recruited to start the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Baptist. He still serves as the Chief of the group and was the former director of Microsurgery as well. In that capacity, Dr. Medina has become an expert in both breast reconstruction for cancer as well as leader in revisional surgery for cosmetic operations gone awry (botched). In addition, Dr. Medina built a practice in complex rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and nasal airway surgery. His time spent reconstructing faces led him to become an expert in facial aesthetics. Dr. Medina performs deep plane face and neck lifts, along with revision and redo face and neck lifts. He believes in soft natural results to give his patients the confidence they deserve to feel themselves without looking “done.”

Philosophically Dr. Medina is a great believer in regenerative medicine and uses different regenerative products and strategies to achieve natural looking results.
